NOLS' commitment to Baja is unparalleled. We are an impor-
tant part of the peninsula's community, with educational opportunities
for local educators, students and land managers, as well as financial
aid and scholarships for NOLS courses in both Spanish and English.
We also have a long-standing partnership with the Universidad
Autónoma de Baja California Sur (UABCS), collaborating with their
departments of marine biology, geology, and alternative tourism.
Home of NOLS' ocean-based program, NOLS Mexico is where you'll learn how to live and travel in a water-filled wilderness.
Baja is also a perfect starting point for budding international
travelers. You will learn to travel safely and responsibly in the backcountry
while having meaningful interactions with a diverse crosssection
of local residents. You'll be amazed at the diversity of this land,
its flora and fauna, the skills you'll learn and the people you'll meet.
